My wife and I love "authentic" Mexican food! This place is close, the carnita meat is great and the salsa is good. We've only been once but we will be back for more.

Yes yes yes Food good Bartender male person was awesome kind and attentive. Upon entering the greeter was pleasant as well. Met people at the bar that was so nice and expressed how much they visit the location and another schooled us on grilled chicken vs shredded chicken. Lol. I loved the grilled chicken.

Visited around the holiday on a Thursday night and I can't wait to come back! Be sure to put yourself on the wait list, the wait is often 90 minutes. We had a FULL table of food and there were no misses! Most of us ordered the Tacos Mexicanos, the chorizo was my favorite and the queso was delicious. Drinks were strong and had me feeling fuzzy and buzzy. Large portions for an excellent price

The Mexican food is the real deal. I ordered the the taco dinner, the carnitas pork was tender, juice and delicious , this place does not disappoint!! It's definitely on my list with the best in the metro Detroit area (Tienda Mexicana, La Botana). I had the regular house margarita and it was nothing special. The mojito was awesome and exactly how It should be! They have an extensive tequila menu which I appreciate, some of the tequila prices are marked up like a high end restaurant. The wait staff was good and well attentive even though this restaurant was very busy. The bad: the entire check in process / wait time to get a table. Thanks to social media, this place is extremely busy. I drove there checked into the wait list, left and came back ! I did not receive a text message from the online system when it was my time to get a table, so I had to be placed on a shorter wait list which also added an additional 30 mins of wait time, basically it took about 2 hrs form check-in until I was seated at a table. The parking lot is also crazy busy due to the popularity of this place.

YAS YAS YAS YAS. If you are looking for a place to drink some margaritas with some friends. THIS IS THE PLACE. The food is good. Fairly priced. The service was absolutely wonderful. I felt like I had a chance to really escape my busy life and enjoy a hot and good meal I could not make at home and drink tequila that warmed my soul. I will definitely be back. Just a side note, put yourself on the waiting list on the busy times ahead of time. I did that as I left my house and I was seated by the time I got close to the restaurant.

Get the avocado tacos! They are sooo good and they have the best margaritas. Open late and they bring a hefty serving of chips and salsa when you are seated . Wait times can be very long on the weekends especially Sundays after church but you can also join the waitlist online .

GET THE CHICKEN SKILLET NACHOS!! All I have to say lol, ok not all but if you don't order ANYTHING else here get those. The platter is loaded with tasty well seasoned chicken, velvety queso , fresh avocado and jalapeños...along with a host of other delicious/complimentary things. This is my third time coming here and third time is truly a charm because I was semi-disappointed with the dishes I had the other two times. I've previously had the birria tacos, which were decent but lacked flavor, especially the meat. I also quite a while back (full disclosure prob pre-pandemic) had the shredded chicken tacos and again, no flavor. But these nachos! My go to order now, and this place will definitely be my neighborhood spot for taco Tuesday! I also had the Mexican corn and cucumber jalapeño margarita. I was a little leery of the corn as it is served off the cob but 10/10 recommend, soooo tasty and prob some of the best I've had in the metro area. My drink was strong and delicious, my favorite combo. I sat at the bar and the staff were awesome, and my food came out lightening fast. Just an FYI it gets super crowded on Tuesdays and you will most likely be sitting shoulder to should with people at the bar. Sorry not many pics 09/30/2024 Stepped outside my usual box and tried the fajita bowl. I ordered it with steak AND chicken for an additional up charge of $3.00. I also had a happy hour strawberry mango margarita which was so, so good, the combination of flavors will be my go to in the future. Th fajita bowl was very good although both the chicken and steak needed seasoning. I was so full from the chips and salsa that I took it home to eat for leftovers. When I ate it at home I added seasoning and OMG that's what was missing overall. Our waiter was very nice and accommodating, especially when it came to how I wanted my margarita.

Conveniently located in a strip mall on the northeast corner of Plymouth Road and Farmington in Livonia is some of the best Mexican food in metro Detroit! There is a plenty of parking in a lot out front. There is dining room or bar seating and they have take out. Festively decorated and you can feel the vibe as soon as you walk thru the door. The bartenders and waitstaff has great and is always serving with a smile. All the Mexican classics - tacos, burritos, enchiladas. Las Palapas has them! Daily happy hour and lunch specials every Mon - Fri. My fave is the taco salad. And chips and fresh salsa with every meal. They have one of the biggest tequila selections in Michigan and the margaritas are to die for. You can even get them to go. If you live or work in the Livonia area and you like Mexican food you must try Las Palapas!

Came with a large group for lunch today and was blown away by our experience. Our server was outstanding and made great lunch recommendations. Our drinks were always full and the chips and salsa were flowing! I ordered the lunch grande burrito with steak and will have enough leftover for lunch the next 2 days.

I stopped in this place with my friends for dinner this place was crowded however, we did find a spot at the bar so we sat there. This restaurant is a Mexican restaurant so it was nicely decorated with a full bar and tables to sit at. We were quickly greeted by the bar staff and our food orders placed. The margaritas here are very strong and very, very good. I will definitely return just for the margarita itself! I ordered the quesadilla mixa with steak. The steak was tender and juicy and very flavorful. All of my friends enjoy their food and we all will definitely return in the future.
